General Optometry

The quality of our sight directly affects the quality of our lives. The loss of focusing power, headaches while reading, or an inability to make one's eye work together can become major obstacles to learning, working, and enjoying life.

These symptoms are often the result of a vision condition. Many of these conditions occur naturally, and optometrists are trained to diagnose and treat these conditions.

Some conditions, like myopia, hyperopia and, astigmatism are common, and their symptoms are usually improved by the prescription of eyeglasses or contact lenses. Certain cases are are helped by corneal modification surgeries.

Patients with vision conditions involving eye coordination, like amblyopia and strabismus, experience the best results from treatment when the condition is caught early in life.

Optometrists are eye doctors trained in diagnosing and treating vision conditions. Regular comprehensive eye exams can help to make sure you have the best vision possible.
